PROFESSIONAL THEATRE IN OUR VILLAGE – Tattenhall Rural Touring Arts & the Barbour Institute are proud to offer our Autumn Season of two contrasting shows chosen to entertain you and bring talented artists to your doorstep.

Our first show is ‘A VIEW FROM THE EDGE’ by OWDYADO THEATRE on Thursday 12th October, 2017, at 7.30pm (Doors at 7.00pm) in the Barbour Institute.

Private eye and troubled sleeper Charlie Daniels is hired by the seductive Elise Hillerman to investigate the disappearance of her husband -a prominent gallery owner. Meanwhile, writers Charlotte and Dan struggle to write the script of their new noir-inspired theatre show about an art forgery ring. As scenes spin, fragment and entangle with each other one question arises: whose reality is real?

A View from the Edge is a highly original show that will delight and intrigue you. This is Owdyado’s fourth show and is touring the country throughout 2017.Recommended age suitability = 14+

Tickets are £10.00 each (all ages) and available from Tattenhall Post Office, Jill at The Studio or to buy online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/date/406252.

The Tattenhall Charity Beer Festival tickets are now on sale.

This event (always a sell-out) is scheduled to take place in the Barbour Institute on Friday and Saturday 13th and 14th October 2017.

Tickets will be on sale at:
*Pluto House Gift Shop
*Complement Clothing
*The Letters

Our thanks to Lesley, to Christine and to Jan at the Letters Inn for selling tickets on our behalf.

Some tickets will be available to buy on the door but to avoid disappointment, it is best to buy tickets in advance (remember the purchase of a ticket includes entry to the event, a souvenir beer festival glass, the renowned festival programme and, of course, your first beer).

This really is one of the largest fund raising events in the village and this year we are supporting the following three charities -‘Save the Family’, ‘Mind’ and ‘OPAL’.

Not only will there be at least 16 cask ales but gin and fizz too + the locally sourced Ploughman’s Platters with Artisan bread and, everyone’s favourites, Mrs Coward’s Pork Pies and Sausage Rolls.
